Individual Services

Campus Visits & Workshops - Experience has shown us that the best way to stimulate activity on campus is to bring the message directly there, hence the ACUO Campus Visit. This visit may take any form, but it is typically designed as a set of  three or four workshops conducted by ACUO's president, Tim Hanson.  These workshops may include, but are not limited to, the following topics: Developing a Fundable Proposal, Support for Research & Curriculum Development in the Sciences,  Internationalizing your Campus, Developing Institutional & Collaborative Projects, Humanities Funding, Fellowship Opportunities, and Supporting Community Outreach on your Campus.   Hanson will also meet with individual faculty members and administrators to discuss their proposal ideas and research objectives. The Campus Visit is also a cost effective way to test the value of ACUO services.  Check out the description of Sample Workshops. The base fee for a campus visit is $1,200 plus travel expenses. Visits requiring an overnight stay will incur additional charges.

Grants Management and Administration - Not all organizations have the resources or experience to effectively manage grant awards, particularly if grants are not their primary source of funding.  The process of overseeing expenditures, filing reports, and maintaining compliance with regulations can overwhelm an administrative staff.  This work can also absorb the time & effort of management, pulling their attention away from the more important responsibilities. ACUO can take over the administration and management of your grant awards providing you and your staff with peace-of-mind and more time to focus on the mission of your organization.  Fees for this service are based on the size and scope of the grant awards.

Proposal Critique ($2,250 for up to 4 critiques) - ACUO provides detailed critiques of draft proposals based on our successful experience. ACUO staff reviews proposals for adherence to program guidelines, clarity of expression, logical development of ideas, consistency of data, spelling, punctuation, grammar and general format. ACUO's extensive experience with Federal agencies and private foundations enables its staff to advise members on tailoring each proposal for a particular funding source.
